What we see in Mission Valley

Mission Valley has more apartments and condos than almost any other part of San Diego, from the older complexes along Friars Road and Camino del Rio to the newer communities at Civita and around the trolley stations. For residents that means lockouts, mailbox locks and rekeys when a roommate leaves. For property managers it means turnover rekeys by the dozen, amenity and gate locks, and the constant need for a locksmith who shows up when scheduled. We do all of it and can key vacant units to a construction key until move-in.

The commercial side is hotels along Hotel Circle, retail at Fashion Valley and Westfield Mission Valley, and offices along the freeways. Hotels call for guest-room hardware issues and back-of-house rekeys; retailers for storefront locks, panic bars and stockroom doors; offices for suite rekeys and cabinet locks.

And then there's the parking. Fashion Valley's garages, the Westfield lots, Snapdragon Stadium on game days and the Hotel Circle lots produce a steady stream of car lockouts and lost keys. We come into the garage, open the car and, if the keys are gone, cut and program a new one so there's no tow.
