Commercial lockouts
Locked out of your shop, office or restaurant before opening? We get you in fast and without damage so you don't lose the day.
Rekeying after staff turnover
An employee leaves and takes a key with them, or you just can't account for every copy. We rekey the whole building in one visit and issue a controlled set of new keys.
Master key systems
One key for the owner, one for the manager, individual keys for each door or suite. We design and install master key systems for offices, clinics, HOAs and multi-tenant buildings.
Commercial lock installation & repair
Grade 1 and Grade 2 levers, deadbolts and mortise locks built for high traffic. We also repair the lock you have when that's the smarter call.
Panic bars & exit devices
Installation and repair of push bars, exit devices and alarmed exits so your building stays code-compliant and your rear door stays secure.
Storefront & aluminum door locks
Glass storefront doors use their own style of deadlatch and hook-bolt hardware. We stock it and service it, including the pivots and closers that make the door work.
Keypad & keyless entry
Stop handing out keys. Keypad and electronic locks let you give each employee a code and delete it the day they leave.
High-security & restricted keys
Keyways that can't be copied at a hardware store, so the number of keys in circulation is the number you authorized.
Door closers & hardware
Slamming doors, doors that won't latch, worn hinges and thresholds. Small hardware problems become security problems, so we fix them on the same trip.
File cabinet, desk & mailbox locks
Lost the key to a filing cabinet, desk drawer, cash drawer or cluster mailbox? We open, rekey or replace it.
Who we work with
Restaurants and bars from the Gaslamp Quarter to Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach. Retail storefronts in La Jolla, Hillcrest and Pacific Beach. Office suites and business parks in Kearny Mesa, University City and Carmel Valley. Warehouses and logistics yards in Otay Mesa. Medical and dental offices, property managers, HOAs, vacation rental operators and churches.
Every one of those businesses has a different keying problem, and we've seen most of them. Tell us how your building actually gets used and we'll design a keying plan around it instead of selling you the same setup as everyone else.
Why a master key system pays for itself
Without a master key system, every lock change means every key holder gets new keys, and every lost key means a decision about whether to rekey everything. A properly designed system gives the owner a key that opens everything, gives managers keys to their areas, and gives staff keys to only the doors they need. When one employee leaves, you rekey one door, not the building.
Combine that with a restricted keyway and you also control who can copy keys. For a business with more than a handful of doors it's usually the cheapest security decision you'll make this year.
How commercial service works
-
1
Call or text with the job
Tell us the type of door, how many locks, and when you need it done. We'll give you a quote and a time that works around your customers.
-
2
We show up stocked
Commercial levers, storefront hardware, exit devices and blanks are on the van, so most jobs finish on the first visit, whether the door is on Newport Avenue or in a Kearny Mesa business park.
-
3
Keys accounted for
You get a clear record of which keys open which doors. For master systems we keep the schedule on file so future changes are quick.

Commercial locksmith questions
Can you rekey my business after hours so we don't close?
Yes. Rekeys, lock changes and master key installs can be scheduled before opening, after closing or on your slow day. Tell us what works and we'll build the visit around it.
Do you install panic bars that meet code?
Yes. We install and repair listed exit devices on wood, hollow-metal and storefront doors, and we'll tell you if a door you think needs a panic bar actually doesn't, or vice versa.
How much does a master key system cost for a small office?
It depends on the number of doors and the hardware already installed. Many small offices can convert their existing locks into a master key system without replacing them, which keeps the cost close to a standard rekey. Call with your door count for a real number.
Can you work with my property manager or HOA?
Constantly. We handle turnover rekeys, common-area doors, mailbox banks, gates and pool locks for property managers across San Diego, and we can invoice the management company directly.
My storefront door won't lock. Is that a lock problem or a door problem?
Often both. On aluminum storefront doors the deadlatch or hook bolt fails, but a sagging door or worn pivot can also stop the bolt from lining up. We check the whole door, not just the cylinder.
